ROOTS OF VIRTUAL REALITY FESTIVAL – DAY 3
Husets Biograf

Virtual Reality, the trippiest of all sci-fi dreams, is now real. HUSETS BIOGRAF celebrates this unique period in time with a 4-day film festival entitled VR: THE FUTURE IN RETROSPECT – four days and nights where the cinema vision of VR for the first time ever can be compared to the real thing! In addition to five classic films that predicted various aspects of virtual reality, we’re showing off a modern VR HMD and vintage 3-D devices too.

Our series runs in tandem with the overall Københavns Spilfestival 2017 (check: https://www.facebook.com/events/790943161061172/), and the 60kr. wrist bracelet that grants you access to HUSET KBH during this period allows you to attend all activities in the cinema as well. Seating for cinema activities is done on a free-come/first-serve basis, but if you come for a specific show we can give you a (free) seating pass that guarantees your place in advance. Just ask in the cinema café when you arrive.

15.00 = CAFÉ & TICKET COUNTER opens / Please remember we only accept cash and Mobile Pay

17.00 = SIGHTS & SMELLS OF OLD-SCHOOL VIRTUAL REALITY / Demonstrating old-school 3-D: we supply red/green lense cardboard glasses for a viewing on 16mm of MURDER IN 3D from 1941, and we follow that with a screening of John Water´s POLYESTER in which we supply very rare cardboard scratch-n-sniff “smell cards” so you can experience the film´s ODORAMA features.

19.30 = PAPRIKA, 2006, directed by Satoshi Kon, 90 min. / When a machine that allows therapists to enter their patients’ dreams is stolen, all Hell breaks loose. Only a young female therapist, Paprika, can stop it.
